What to see on Hong Kong Island
Hong Kong Island is situated on the southern side of the Special Administrative Region Hong Kong. It is one of the places most commonly associated with tourism in Hong Kong. The Island consists of Southern, Eastern, Western and Northern parts. This region is known for the role it has played in Hong Kong's development. This aspect is attributed to the deep waters, which are favored by trade ships. Hong Kong Island has several attractions and it is due to this fact that it is ranked among one of the most toured regions. The southern side of the Island includes attractions, such as Ocean Park, Repulse Bay, Stanley Market, Jumbo Kingdom. The northern side of HK Island includes a lot of shopping malls as well as tourist spots, such as Lan Kwai Fong, The Peak, Central Plaza, Happy Vallery Racecouse and parks.
