Hong Kong Island is an island located south of Victoria Harbour and Kowloon Peninsula. The northern part of the island is the city center. The second tallest building, the 2 International Finance Centre, and the third tallest building, the Central Plaza, are located here. The area has a large number of office buildings, luxury hotels and consulates. Also, there are several renowned shopping centers, such Times Square, Pacific Place and IFC shopping mall. As for leisure, there are many tourist sights, which are scattered throughout the island. These are Ocean Park, the Peak, Stanley, Lan Kwai Fong and so on.
Being the city center, the northern part has the highest concentration of hotels on the island. Most of them are located in the following areas: Sheung Wan, Central, Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. The eastern and southern parts mainly consist of residential areas with only a couple of hotels.
