Located north-east of Tsim Sha Tsui, Hung Hom is mainly a residential area. It comprises a couple of tourist spots: Hong Kong Coliseum, which is used for concerts and sport events, and Wonderful Worlds of Whampoa, a shopping mall with good options for shopping and dining. But the area is known as a major transportation hub. The Hung Hom station provides regular train services to major cities in mainland China, such as Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai. Also, it is the terminus for the East Rail Line and West Rail Line of the MTR.
There are few budget hotels in the area, but the highlight is Harbour Grand Kowloon, a 5-star hotel, which is located right on the Victoria Harbour's waterfront just a few steps away from the Hung Hom Ferry Pier and Bus Terminus.
