Cultural Heritage

Visiting museums is one of the most popular things to do in Hong Kong. The museums are based on a number of themes, and you will find that they offer a fascinating look at local history and culture. Special passes are offered that allow visitors unlimited access. Most of them are open on public holidays, to allow great flexibility for visitors. They also generally keep regular hours on the weekends. During the first two days of the Chinese New Year festival, all museums are closed; some of them are closed on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
The majority of the museums offer free admission on Wednesdays.
